Eating out in Faro city centre: traditional restaurant "O Pitéu" 🦑🍤

Open every day except on Sundays, this restaurant located at the heart of Faro city centre is a good place to enjoy traditional Portuguese dishes for lunch or dinner.


The menu includes suggestions such as:

- bacalhau à bras = dried and salted pieces of cod, cooked with potato, onions, eggs and parsley.

- bifinhos de frango = chicken strips.

- bacalhau à lagareiro = cod cooked in olive oil, with garlic, accompanied by potatoes.

- atum algarvia = tuna with lots of onions.

- polvo à lagareiro = octopus cooked in olive oil, with garlic, accompanied by potatoes.

- lulinhas fritas = fried squid.

- bife na pedra = steak cooked on stone.

- dourada, robalo, salmão, atum = fresh fish of your choice: sea bream, bass, salmon, tuna.
